Church Signs

Brooke and I for several years call each other when we see a great church sign. So I thought I would post a few of my favorites.

I have seen this one twice now on different churchs, it's the best one I've seen in a while. Peanut butter isn't the only thing being recalled by it's maker. Other ones that really make you think are... And you think it's hot here (of course this one works best in Summertime), Come in for a faith lift, and my personal all time favorite, Go Jesus Go (displayed at Christmas time) Where exactly is Jesus going? Or is this a Jesus cheer? If so, let me get my pom poms. I guess you have to go in to find out for sure.

lol...our around here are so boring compared to those!

Local churches say things like 'Faith never goes out of Style' and 'the gift of love never gets old'. Yawn.

If you like our sign, you'll love our church. (uh, why?)

Turn or burn. (how inspirational!)

What's missing in ch rh?? UR!!!!
(another church cheer apparently)

and a classic overused one......

Seven days without church makes one weak. (durr I'm retarded and don't know how to spell!weeeee!)

Gotta love em!

and I still am trying to figure out that Go Jesus Go one. Go on Jesus, leave us alone?? I have no idea....

There's one down the street from where I work that says "There's No Love Like Jesus Love" which comes across as just a bit too homo-erotic somehow.

There was a street where my family lives that had like 4 churches constantly competing with their signage. I wish I could remember all of them cause many of them were classic!

New ones by our house:

'The best things in life are not 'things'

'You quickly lose interest in a church in which you have nothing invested.'

(I'm not sure what that last one means but it's really wordy and I almost had a wreck trying to read it all before I passed it on the hwy. I must say I'm pretty disappointed in the lack of imagination around here)

I just saw another one that apparently has not been updated in a couple months: "New Year, Same Old You". Encouraging, huh? lol!
